The Valencia CF coach talks after the 2-2 result against Deportivo Alavés
David Boronat is a young Valencia CF fan who stands out for his courage, effort and drive. Undoubtedly, a person who carries the VCF DNA within.
This Valencia CF fan was pleasantly surprised at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna. The team had a pleasant meeting with David, chatting and having photos taken with him and his family.
"I had planned to talk to Pepelu, but I never expected him to go and talk to the whole team. They all stopped, got out of the car, took a photo with me and several days later told me I had a surprise at home," describes David Boronat.
In the match against UD Las Palmas, he met the Valencia CF players again. He was waiting for them on the pitch, with great enthusiasm and sentiment. ‘Pepelu is a lovely person. At home he was very affectionate, with David he hit it off straight away. We are very grateful to Pepelu and Valencia CF because they have been wonderful. The only thing missing is his goal and dedication. It would be incredible,’ explains David Boronat Sr.
And that dreamed goal arrived. Pepelu scored the first goal in the match against UD Las Palmas and dedicated it to David and his family.
Seeing him so excited and happy and with such enthusiasm because he has had such a tough season that he could hardly get out of bed, gives us life and joy.Valencia CF has a lot of fight in it, like David. Seeing that closeness and that affection is exciting. We have a motto in the family and it is that ‘we are going to win this match".
Day by day, battle by battle, but above all, David putting his strength and determination to win in the fight against cancer and to live and show us that you can do it and that you have to fight and make an effort. That connection with the players who fight and make an effort and that closeness, that's why he has connected with Pepelu’, says Almudena Fernández, David's mother.
